I think the decision might be being made for us...
[ she nods her head at the dinos - one of them, hers because of course it is she apparently got the hyper one, is running at the gun range like she's being drawn there with a magnet. ]
I'm going to need to retrieve her at the very least.
[He doesn't trust a t-rex not to chomp anything and run with it. "What do you have?!" "A KNIFE" "NO!!!" basically.
Somehow, the Child has gotten inside. Maybe the door was a bit open. It's fine. Blanca pushes it open more, but goes inside first, a little cautiously, to make sure it's okay.
Unfortunately, there's a bubble right there to greet the two of them at the door. Terrible. It's his first one, so he isn't sure exactly what to make of it. Just a bubble right? He takes half a step back, but doesn't rush to move as it pops on him.]
[Alex is packing; A Farewell to Arms is the last thing that goes into the suitcase. The Chinese boy standing a few feet away is beautiful, but petulant, and very young. No more than some of the ones here, no more than sixteen.
But there's dichotomy there: this boy has a lot of power over Alex, over Blanca. A professional distinction; this boy is an employer, like a master. And it's also clear the boy is frustrated.
Yut-Lung spills Blanca's secrets first, his name, his rank in the army, his involvement in Spetsnaz, a wife. Her skin prickles; apparently, those things should have been buried in the past, though he understands Yut-Lung is using it to try to keep him from leaving. But Blanca isn't a part of any of that anymore, and it's clear Yut-Lung is curious.
Out of anyone, Yut-Lung should hear what it means to accept love, to know it, to protect it, to welcome it. To let go of bitterness and anger, and revenge, too, and look instead to love.
[ the thing about these bubbles is just... the potential of what they can rip out of person. for something so simple and harmless looking, it's like a game of roulette and you have no idea if it's going to take something small and easily dismissable out of your mind and display it to the world, or if it's going to claw your darkest secrets out and mount them for anyone to view. ]
[ this, alex would say, is more of the latter. it's not... as deep or dark as she could imagine some of blanca's memories might be, based off the little they'd dipped into in the past, but there's a lot there. enough that she looks a little guilty when they're out of the memory and back into the gun range itself.
[This first time, he is still surprised when coming back. Okay. Memories? Wild. He glances at Alex to see if she had noticed, or if it had been something only he could "watch," but alas...
She had watched, too, apparently. He thinks she's fortunate it hadn't been something much more grotesque.]
I was not aware... [He trails off, not sure what to say to rectify the awkward shock between them.] Well, in any case, I don't believe we won't to run into many of those things.

[Well. He glances at her, and then nods in the direction ahead of them.]
Shall we? Where to first?

Surprisingly, it gets him to look slightly amused, and then he starts after the fleeing dino-girl. Why did they get saddled with more children?]
Let's make sure she doesn't get into trouble, at least.

[ after the child... before she gets too wild with weaponry. ]

So he has to explain.
Out of anyone, Yut-Lung should hear what it means to accept love, to know it, to protect it, to welcome it. To let go of bitterness and anger, and revenge, too, and look instead to love.
The last thing he says to him is what he thinks is something hopeful.]

What was that thing-- it just appeared out of nowhere?
