[well. he's clearly already been here, given what he's wearing but as sora enters the clothing store again he seems to be browsing more than anything. it also appears that he's not alone, given he almost runs right into someone familiar.]

Find something you like? [good morning blanca.]

[papasha]

[He is standing in front of a beaten up old mirror in a uniform, staring somewhat intently at his reflection. The outfit strangely looks like it fits him perfectly, something about the breadth of his shoulders, how he holds them, how straight he is.

The question pulls him into focus, and he turns, the corners of his lips flickering with a small smile.]

Hello, Sora. I'm still looking, I think.

[reconnective]

[that sure is something. sora tilts his head as he assesses the outfit himself, all too aware that it seems like something made just for blanca.]

Well there's plenty to look at. [he wants to ask about it, but...hm.] Want some help? I found some stuff for Alex when the port was here and we were looking around.

[papasha]

[SORA LOOKS VERY CUTE, AT LEAST.]

I would appreciate it, if you wouldn't mind. I'm not terrible with clothes necessarily, but I wouldn't decline any advice.

[reconnective]

[it happens when you're a child.]

I can definitely try. To be honest, I've been getting my clothes from the fairies for the last couple of years. But there should be something here that you can work with...what's your favorite color anyway?

[is he absolutely just blowing past the part about the good fairies? yeah.]

[papasha]

[The fairies. Well. Blanca ALSO blows by the part about the good fairies. Sora has a wild imagination clearly.]

I don't mind too much as long as it fits me. [Big Boi problems.] I like red and black, but I wear white sometimes as well.

[reconnective]

[just wait until blanca sees disneyland.]

Yeah, that would probably be the most important part. [he's already moving to another rack to start looking.] Red and black are my favorites right now, too. [given. all of his outfits from said-fairies.] Black pants can't be too hard to find.

[digdigdig.] I've been thinking about this place a lot since I got here, and this is definitely the outlier. [it's so calm? and quiet? like what.]

[papasha]

[He follows Sora over to the racks to help search for someone beside a weird old military uniform. There's some decent shirts, he thinks.

He pulls a few out to glance them over.]

You mean this new place we've been given?

[He looks over the rack, somewhat amused by Sora's pondering.]

[reconnective]

Yup. Think about it. The port had the sea and then we had pirates attack and all that stuff in the swamp, space had aliens that learned how to wield knives, and last week we had a bunch of wild animals around. The only thing here is way too many cowboy hats.

[and also guns, but he means in terms of environmental dangers and "excitement."]

[papasha]

Ah. I see.

[Is Sora bored? Always on the go.]

I wouldn't quite write this place off just yet. The Old West definitely had some action sometimes. Do you not care for a quiet little midwestern town?

[reconnective]

Mm...it's not that. I think it's just that I don't really know where to go or what to do. [so yeah, it's a problem to be sitting still. problem go. sora go go. give him a second to pull off a few pairs of pants from a rack that are likely not long enough for blanca, but he's trying.]

I'm kinda used to jumping right into the action whenever we go somewhere new.

[there's likely a foggy bubble lurking around some of the racks that they may or may not notice.]

[papasha]

[This amuses him slightly. Sometimes, you have a lot of go energy, and Blanca understands. Even if he's not a real go-go person.]

Maybe this is a chance to take some time to relax a little before the next big thing.

[Blanca should and probably is way more aware of his surroundings, but I am running this show so I say he ISN'T. Surprise bubble time.]

[reconnective]

I guess. [he sounds so put out about having to relax. but he realizes it a little too late that neither of them were paying attention.]

Blanca, watch it! [he attempts to. do the stupid thing. and bat the bubble away? but that just means it pops and now blanca gets to see this stupidity.]

[papasha]

[Immediately, he tenses and turns, but he isn't sure what they're going to do about... a bubble... aside from (in hindsight) run for it.

Sora bops it, and it busts. He's so bewildered by seeing Donald and Goofy? Like they aren't just two dimensional animations. Which only makes him wonder if Sora is a two dimensional animation? It's fine.

It worries him more that Sora just hopped out of an egg like the implication of being asleep for a long time isn't anything? No wonder Sora is go, go, go.

Also idk if the bubbles technically work this way, but immediately afterward, Sora gets equal opportunist stupidity.]

[reconnective]

[WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS AS AN ICON TOO I HATE YOU.

anyway the bubbles work like this now which means that sora's just. openly staring at blanca for a few seconds before he puts his hands on his hips, eyes narrowed and leaning in a little.]

Aren't you married?

[papasha]

[WOW. That is definitely not the memory he would have liked for a child to see--not that Yut Lung isn't sixteen, but listen.

He holds up both of his hands a little in surrender.]

Married? I've never been married.

[reconnective]

...huh? [NOW HE'S EVEN MORE CONFUSED.] But Ru said...[...that aside!] Well whatever, even if you're not that's still two different people?

[cheating is still bad, blanca!]

[papasha]

She said...?

[????

His first thought is whether or not he and Ru are married, and he doesn't realize it. But the scolding distracts him.]

Well, I... [How tf does he give The Talk.] She was a very beautiful woman, and I was interested, but... it wouldn't have worked out, as you could see.

You can't keep pursing a woman when they aren't interested anymore, you know. That's called stalking.

[reconnective]

[oh my god why are all of the adults in his life this way.

also. he actually regrets this, please ignore the fact he's absolutely turning a little red and just. WHIPPING AROUND TO FACE A RACK OF CLOTHES INSTEAD.]

I know what stalking is, Blanca. [do you, sora.] And I'm glad you didn't stalk her but what about that other guy?

[papasha]

[HAHA. Sora's embarrassment is at least cute. Blanca has the decency not to laugh at him. Sora isn't a stalker boy, good. That's all he could hope for.]

Oh, Mister Yut-Lung? He was doing it on purpose, as mean as it was. He was my former employer.

He's only sixteen, so that would have been a bit inappropriate of me.

[reconnective]

[he is a good boy! sure he didn't tell his maybe-girlfriend that he sacrificed himself for her and would fade from existence until the last minute but it's fine!

but ah. hm. weird. weird?]

Considering you're old? Yeah, a little bit. [...] Weren't you a bounty hunter? Or...a mercenary, I guess. Your boss was my age?

[papasha]

[:unamused: sora]

Old... My. [WOW. But he just sort of laughs quietly as he pretends to go through the racks again.] Something like that.

[haha]

Mister Yut-Lung was the heir to his family's estate, the only one left. But he was your age, yes. He needed a bodyguard, so he hired me.

[reconnective]

Well. Older. [blanca you are still twice his age. but he seems to be listening...]

How long did you work for him? Also, why was he kind of a jerk?

[papasha]

Not very long. A month or so.

[He looks amused somewhat.]

You'll have to forgive Mister Yut-Lung. I think deep down somewhere, he has a good heart. He hasn't had the best life, and he is a little bitter.

He resents how easy it seems for some people to be able to move on, or find love.

[reconnective]

It could be easy for him, too, if he were a little nicer. [but his expression softens.] ...those are the people that need the most kindness then, aren't they? I think everybody has potential to be good but it depends on the people they're with.
