[His own handshake is very firm, but it seems like that the hand itself is what's the source of it. Odd, perhaps. He draws it back.]
Haha, believe me, I'm immune to all charms. [Says a man who would flirt(?) with a certain long-haired and very tired mage professor after hearing him once. Shut up, Hansa.] He's fun to talk to, though.
Diocesan. Which is a fancy way of just saying that I work with my mentor in a certain area and we're, in turn, under the guidance and jurisdiction of the bishop above us. He does most of the typical responsibilities of a priest, though, my mentor. I'm made to travel from time to time if the Church needs me.
[What a wonderfully vague explanation that actually barely ties into what he actially does.]
Both of his brows rise very slightly in recognition.] It seems we share a little history, even if it may not all be good. At least, in my world. [He pauses thoughtfully.]
I don't consider myself a religious man, unfortunately. But my parents were Eastern Orthodox.
Clearly this means we can never talk again. [A beat.] But no, that's understandable. I personally don't care for all that religious factional infighting and stuff.
[Hansa lets out a low whistle. That's serious business.]
I mean, you are built like a military man, but...Russian special forces, huh. No wonder you had no problem being Won's bodyguard. This is probably a cake walk for someone like you.
[I HATE THIS MAN, but his smile is very humble and sheepish.]
Physically, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Yet. But I can't say I've ever had experience with anything like this, outside of being his bodyguard.
[Just. Looking him up and down. Physically...yeah.]
What do you mean by that? Well, now that I think about it, I guess protecting people isn't exactly at the top of the list for special forces. You tend towards the opposite.
I believe I sometimes feel like I'm outside of the boat. [In terms of not having any sort of magic. WOW.] A boy named Yut-Lung Lee.
He and I worked together to help another man, and after that contract was completed, he tried to hire me to kill someone for him. But I told him I would be his bodyguard.
Mister Yut-Lung was... Well, his ire was directed in a petty place. The young man he wanted me to kill had done nothing wrong but show kindness and love to someone else. Someone Mister Yut-Lung thought didn't deserve it.
It would have been unnecessary. But he is a difficult master to please sometimes when he wants something. Being a bodyguard was a compromise.

Hello, hello. [He was waiting? Hm.] Do you need my services for something?
no subject
[His smile is a bit more amused.]
I haven't introduced myself, but thought I should. I believe the two of us are working together. In our way.
Mister Won has hired me to help him.
no subject
[His own smile widens into a grin. He extends a hand.]
A pleasure to meet you, my fellow coworker. Won did say he had multiple bodyguards before, so I'm hardly surprised. He's a smart young man.

[He takes Hansa's hand to offer it a firm, but not painful at all, shake. Very amiable.]
He is quite cunning, yes. I hope you won't let him charm you too greatly.
no subject

no subject
That's good. [He does not believe this, but it's fine. He won't call Hansa out. That'd be rude.] He is. Strangely deep for someone his age.
I don't intend to get in your way. I wanted to offer my assistance if you needed it. I also didn't mean to hold you up, if you are busy.
no subject
[That is a way to put it, Hansa. He lets out a short laugh, reaching out to pat the man on the shoulder.]
Hey, I'm not busy. Its hardly like there's a church here to catch up on my sermons. Let's walk together. I want to know more about you.
no subject
Blanca motions ahead of them, falling into step beside the other man.]
Ah. What kind of priest are you exactly?
no subject

[now i have to change their shitpost to this]
no subject
[ANNA THAT SHITPOST]
Clearly this means we can never talk again. [A beat.] But no, that's understandable. I personally don't care for all that religious factional infighting and stuff.

How very understanding of you, Mister Cervantes. Forgive me if I'm too forward, but you don't seem like a simple priest.
Though I guess I must not seem like a simple man either.
no subject
[Said with some amusement. Of course he knows why.]
Mm, what was it...military regulations, insurance, contractual obligations? You've got a lot on your list.
no subject
A little cheeky, whoever wrote those. [He is hesitant a for a moment, and then his expression gets a tad serious.] I was in the army.
Specifically Spetsnaz.

You're right, [haha, let's Do Not See assassination] but... I mean, this place, and what is happening. Nothing like this usually occurs in my world.
The bodyguard duty, however, is familiar.
no subject
Oh, I see. Well, wish I could be in that boat. [A beat.] Who were you bodyguard to?
no subject
I believe I sometimes feel like I'm outside of the boat. [In terms of not having any sort of magic. WOW.] A boy named Yut-Lung Lee.

[NO HE CAN'T STOP BEING A JOCK HE WILL DIE]
Interesting. Why did you say no to the hitman job?
no subject
[He shakes his head a bit.]

...How noble of you. [A slight smirk.] Its good to know you have your own moral code to stand on.
no subject
I have learned a few things since being a soldier. In this case, Mister Yut-Lung simply did not know love.
no subject
[He repeats, tilting his head, curious.]
And what kind of love is that?
